JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE


The Talent Manager is responsible for leading organizational wide efforts to attract, select, develop and retain best in industry talent. Focuses on designing and implementing talent management processes that are data-driven and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. This position works closely with human resources and business leaders to identify and create strategic solutions that improve talent acquisition, talent management and performance management initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Partners with human resources and business leaders to design, develop and execute effective talent management programs to achieve business goals related to recruitment, retention, career progression and succession planning
• Analyzes talent metrics and provides data to inform human capital strategies
• Manages the performance management process, including but not limited to creating and/or updating job descriptions, standards of performance evaluation, performance management system and annual employee performance reviews
• Collaborates with leaders to identify and design learning initiatives to facilitate employee development and improve the employee life cycle strategy
• Creates and promotes an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
• Manages full life cycle recruitment process (post, source, prescreen, schedule interviews, background and references checks, offer, onboarding, etc.); Partners with HR Specialist/Generalist to complete hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start
• Partners with hiring managers to recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process of qualified candidates for exempt, non-exempt, temporary and intern positions
• Partners with marketing team to develop appropriate marketing strategies for recruiting initiatives
• Develops service-level agreements with outside recruiting and staffing firms to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire
• Partners with HR management to collect, aggregate and analyze talent acquisition data to drive deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.
• Develops and implements innovative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Other duties as assigned

• Thorough understanding of full cycle talent acquisition and best in class recruiting practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and industry specific experience required
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or equivalent certification strongly preferred
• 5+ years of broad Human Resources experience with emphasis in talent and performance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management
• Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs
• Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to perform occasional travel; local and within the U.S. and to other employment locations
• Ability to lift and transport up to 15 lbs.
