JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Performs professional level duties related to Human Resources, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, recruitment, compliance, leave administration, benefits administration and events/recognition. Assists the Human Resources Manager to ensure operational effectiveness and exceptional customer service to the employee population of Beretta.

 

This position description includes but is not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs routine tasks for the HR Department, including but not limited to answering phone calls, file maintenance and compliance, drafting correspondence, employment verifications, employment poster updates, greeting guests and handling employment-related inquiries, and filing 
  • Partners with employees and management to administer and communicate various Human Resources plans, policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations 
  • Attends and/or participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Assists in the maintenance of employee handbooks, policies and procedures; ensures legal and ethical compliance with state and federal laws
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent and performance management, employee engagement and employment law and makes recommendations for new approaches, policies and procedures for continuous improvement in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open exempt, non-exempt and temporary positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Maintains accurate and timely job postings on company careers site, as well as other posting sites and social media platforms
  • Participates in onsite and offsite hiring events and initiatives 
  • Conducts all aspects of employee onboarding and orientation, as well as all offboarding procedures
  • Assists with revisions to the employee performance review form and tracks, monitors and maintains employee performance records within the HCM platform and personnel files
  • Responsible for employee benefits administration, including but not limited to enrollments, cancellations, responding to general inquiries and invoice reconciliation
  • Assists in and/or leads employee training and development initiatives and requirements
  • Facilitates the implementation of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) system, programs, tools and processes designed to improve management and employee performance, productivity, engagement and business results
  • Coordinates employee engagement and recognition programs and events
  • Other projects and duties as may be directed

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and industry specific experience required
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or equivalent certification strongly preferred 
  • 3-5 years Human Resources experience in a Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with emphasis on Employee Relations, Recruitment and Benefits Administration strongly preferred  

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to perform occasional travel; local and within the U.S. and to other employment locations
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 15 lbs.
