The Senior Procurement Analyst will partner with Senior Management to develop and execute a procurement strategy.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a successful Senior Procurement Analyst to join our Marine Group in Kennesaw, GA. The Senior Procurement Analyst will partner with Senior Management to develop and execute a procurement strategy. The Procurement Specialist will be the subject matter expert to provide guidance and counsel to the procurement function, Yamaha partners, and senior management.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute the procurement strategy to purchase quality material, systems, and equipment at most optimal cost
Responsible for approving inspection and testing of supplier samples
Negotiate and approve contracts with suppliers including new and renewed contracts
Responsible for ensuring the procurement function maintains appropriate stock and inventory levels
Responsible for leading the procurement, scheduling, and delivery of supplier components
Create and execute strategies to develop the manufacturing process
Conduct cost/value analysis; clarify gap between target cost and quoted cost and propose strategies to senior management
Partner with senior management to develop goals and budgets
Responsible for achieving target cost metrics
Lead and manage RFI/RFP/RFQ analysis; present findings and recommendations to senior management
As the subject matter expert, provide guidance to the procurement function and partners
Experience, Knowledge, Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business/Finance, or related field required
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) preferred
7+ years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics field required
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
Knowledge of freight, transportation, and expediting experience
Excellent MS Office Suite Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, and decision-making skills
Ability to partner across multiple levels within the organization and provide consultation
