The Account Associate will support Boat Builders and Dealers with forecasting, placing orders and reporting for Outboards and Marine rigging/parts. He/she will provide customer service to all internal and external customers.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a successful Account Associate to join our Marine Group. The Account Associate will support Boat Builders and Dealers with forecasting, placing orders and reporting for Outboards and Marine rigging/parts. He / she provides customer service to all internal and external customers. This position will focus on process improvement to help ensure we are able to proactively seek solutions for our customers. The Account Associate will assist in managing the supply chain.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain daily/weekly contact with customers in regard to forecasts, orders, supply, and delivery estimates. Provide pro-active and detailed follow through on customer communications. Focus on “Raving Fans” by Ken Blanchard philosophy to improving customer service.
Communicate regularly with Operations, Planning and Sales departments regarding supply constraints, demand allocations and any other requirements.
Monitor the demand, orders, and production of Outboard Engines to refine the promised availability dates.
Work closely with individuals throughout the organization to support field personnel.
Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to improve inventory levels by identifying spikes and low points in demand early on.
Provide information to management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends with recommendations for improvement.
Help create appropriate productions plans based on current orders, market information and forecasts.
Manage information flow by working with ISD to develop standardized reporting.
Work continuously with other divisions (i.e., Logistics, Accounting, ISD, Sales) to recommend process enhancements.
BA / BS degree required.
3-5 years Customer service role preferred
Must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook), and statistical software.
Must be a self-motivated team player.
