We’re looking for a hard-working, smooth-talking doer to join us in Unlocking the Outdoors for All.
Regardless of where you come from, we care that you work hard and take good care of our constituents, both adventurers and guides, who together make Captain the leading online platform for booking outdoor sports guides.
-Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to prioritize
-Availability to work a somewhat demanding schedule, including some evenings and weekends (on call)
-Located in or willing to relocate to Austin, Texas
-Prior customer support experience preferred
-Experience in the outdoor industry preferred
-High School diploma required
-Interact with adventurers (customers) via phone calls, email, web-based chat, and SMS to ensure a seamless booking experience before, during, and after each trip
-Add value to the booking experience by helping adventurers with booking decisions
-Onboard new guides via direct phone and email outreach
-Interact with existing guides via phone, SMS, and email to ensure trip success
-Troubleshoot adventurer and guide issues to successful resolution
-Interview adventurers and guides to collect promotional content like fishing reports and user feedback
-Learn and use our customer relationship management software (HubSpot) to help manage our network of adventurers and guides and help maintain current and accurate records
-Champion the Captain Experiences brand, community engagement, and conservation
-Hands-on experience working in the fishing & outdoors space
-Fulfilling work as part of a team in an early-stage, high-growth company working directly alongside founders
-Ability to help shape the culture and future of Captain Experiences
-A meaningful equity stake in Captain Experiences (negotiable)
