POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Income Tax Manager reports to the Tax Director.  This person will work with the Tax director in managing the filing of all of the company’s income tax returns and preparing the supporting income tax work papers.  

INCOME TAX STAFF DUTIES:

Income Tax: This position works with all income tax filings: Corporation, Partnership, Limited Liability Company, and S-Corporation income tax returns in various jurisdictions within the United States and internationally.  The responsibilities of this position include overseeing tax research and planning, reviewing income tax work papers and returns; calculating quarterly estimated tax payments and distributions; overseeing the filing of extensions and the tracking of tax credits.  In addition, this position will assist in federal and state income tax audits as well as the GAAP income tax provision for the financial audit, including FAS 109 work papers and FIN 48 calculations.  The position will also work with our outside tax consultants on tax filings.

Transfer Pricing: This position will have the responsibility to oversee the transfer pricing analysis with outside tax consultants annually and the monthly transfer pricing calculations and entries.

Franchise & Miscellaneous Taxes:  This position will oversee the filings of our various franchise tax returns and other miscellaneous tax returns such as business tax, unclaimed property and insurance returns.  It will also review certain monthly account reconciliations and journal entries.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.

·         Seven or more years of public accounting experience or comparable experience required.

·         CPA license required

·         Strong spreadsheet and word processing skills are necessary. Must be comfortable with completing research on the internet.

·         Must be extremely organized - a critical component of this position.

·         Will need to manage tax staff and several different tasks at once while tracking multiple deadlines.

·         Must be self-motivated and take initiative.

·         Needs to be able to build successful working relationships with internal and external business partners.  Will work with multiple people and levels throughout the organization, public accountants and many different governmental agencies.

·         Must be trustworthy and of good character as this position works with extremely confidential and sensitive data.

·         Needs to be able to train others and track their work.
