L.L.Bean is currently searching for an Flex PLM/Digital Product Creation Configuration Analyst to join the information Services Team.
Overview:
In this new role, the Configuration Analyst will be responsible for system configuration and development activities for PTC’s FlexPLM system as well as its integrations to new Digital Product Creation tools and DAM solutions. FlexPLM is a Product Lifecycle Management tool which impacts the way L.L. Bean creates and services products across the entire product lifecycle, from conception and design to sourcing and service. DPC is our Digital Product Creation initiative which involves the implementation of state-of-the art 3D Design tools like CLO3D. In this role you will work closely with the Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Raw Material Sourcing businesses to help define business requirements to ensure that software is configured in a way to meet evolving requirements and integrations are implemented between FlexPLM and various DPC tools.
General Responsibilities:
Works closely with the business to gather requirements, prepares high level designs and detailed specifications from which software packages are configured.
Prepares detailed specifications from which software packages are configured, integrations are made and/or programs are written.
Implements technical solutions by either configuring software packages or code development, adhering to security and development standards.
Participates in the selection, implementation, configuration and integration of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software packages. Responsible for partnering with software vendors on the development, configuration and integration of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software packages and custom code.
Develops integration requirements and partners with integration developer(s) to implement and support.
Responsible for the development and execution of testing and implementation plans. Can perform unit, system, and integration testing. Documents results and logs/resolves issues.
Participates in project planning and development or assumes responsibility for a project of limited scope including guidance of others.
Provides options for and estimates of possible solutions.
Stays current on Industry trends and Software roadmaps.
Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.
Conducts and participates in reviews of solution designs, configurations and code.
Partners with technical partners internally and externally to ensure Service Levels are met.
On call – provides day-time and after hours on call support for PLM, DPC as well as other applications supported by the overall team (Blue Yonder Suite).
Ensure Service Level Agreements “SLAs” exist between the support organization and the business. Track service levels and report on results.
Act as primary liaison with software vendors as required.
Specific Responsibilities:
Configure and support Product Technology applications including PTC FlexPLM, Thingworx Retail Connector, and CLO3D, in addition to new tools being added through the Digital Product Creation (DPC) initiative.
Work collaboratively with various IT partners to ensure seamless integration of product data across the matrix of applications
Assist with technical content and execution of strategic projects (including DPC) in a fast-paced environment that covers multiple cross-functional areas.

Experience with selecting, implementing, and configuring COTS software packages
Experience with designing, building, and implementing integrations between COTS software packages and existing systems.
Experienced with Testing at all levels (unit, integration, system, performance)
Experience with multiple Systems Development Life Methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn new process skills and applications
Thorough knowledge of programming best practices
Familiar and/or experienced in relational databases, Oracle, SQL Server, SQL, XML, Webservices, API, PERL, MQ Series, Linux, Windows, Apache Application Server
Following technology knowledge is a plus: Java, JavaScript, Eclipse, Bash/Shell, PowerShell, Python, Perl, Excel/VB
Source Code Control and Issue tracking (preferably GIT, Subversion (aka SVN), and Jira)
Experience utilizing IT Service Management tools such as Service Now and Control-M
Knowledge/Technology: PTC FlexPLM
Strong understanding of PTC FlexPLM software, ThingWorx Retail Connector and associated processes throughout the product lifecycle
Good understanding of PTC FlexPLM functionalities
Advanced Configurations on PTC FlexPLM version 11.x and above
PTC FlexPLM Integration experience, particularly connecting PLM with ERP, BI, DPC and Merchandising systems.
PTC FlexPLM Upgrade experience
Experience working with an Application Managed Services (AMS) provider
Hands-on experience on PTC’s Reporting framework preferred
Knowledge/Technology: DPC
Familiarity with 3D digital product creation pipeline
Familiarity with the hardware and software needs of designers for 3D creation
Interest in Augmented and Virtual Reality
Interest in real-time 3D for desktop, web, and mobile delivery
Familiarity with Digital Product Creation tools such as CLO3D, Shima Seiki, Browzwear, Rhino, RomansCAD, Solidworks
Familiarity with distributed render management solutions such as Deadline
Familiarity with Cloud-based render solutions (AWS, GarageFarm, Rebus, etc)
Experience with managing product image files a plus (2D/3D)
Familiarity with asset management and PLM/DAM interface a plus
Experience with Visualization products like Modo and Maya a plus
Experience with Rendering tools like V-Ray and Deadline a plus
Education: BA/BS or equivalent
Experience: 3 to 7 years
