Position Purpose:
Seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to be a key team member that has experience and skill in supporting Windows platforms, conducting system software research, engineering implementation, and maintenance in support of business initiatives.
This person will perform as the systems matter expert, providing Windows and Microsoft product skills with a strong emphasis on virtualization, IaaS, cloud integrations, and automation. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of common application environments on behalf of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support and technical expertise regarding integrating new and existing Windows (Macintosh is a plus) technology into enterprise IT systems design and architecture.
Interface with internal customer and third-party teams for configuration, integration, and deployment activities.
Manage Windows (Macintosh is a plus) operating systems, virtualization technologies (VMware), and application migrations
Develop and implement best practices and engineering standards for Windows and (Macintosh is a plus) Server configuration and optimization.
Provide administration support for Windows Servers.
Provide Windows and (Macintosh is a plus) platform problem resolution including providing support for Windows-related issues.
Responsible for 24x7 research and resolution of production system problems.
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or related experience.
Years of Experience: 3+
English Level: Upper-intermediate B2+
Skills and Qualifications:
Installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems (2012 r2, 2016, 2019)
VMware vSphere ESXi/VMWare Horizon/VSAN
Understanding of Shared Storage, Replication, load balancing, and WAN Technologies.
PowerShell scripting. YAML/Python/JSON a plus.
Active Directory, MECM, Exchange.
Managing Identity (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, IAM tools).
Managing Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies (Server/Virtual Desktop), and hardware platforms. Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform a plus.
Understanding of cloud computing concepts like containerization, networking, security best practices.
Azure IaaS (or other cloud providers).
Azure tenant administration, including RBAC roles/enterprise apps/SAML/SSO.
