POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for loading finished boats, motors, and trailers on various types of transportation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare the Tracker Boat trailers for loading by placing and assembling steel rails and components in the proper configuration for the type and mix of boats being loaded
- Place boats and motors on the trailers by operating a powered lift truck
- Strap and tie down the boats, motors, and accessories by using various types of strapping and tie down equipment
- Load, tie down, and secure boats, motors and accessories.
- Unload trailers shipped from the trailer manufacturing plant and place in a pre-determined location in the yard by use of a power lift truck
- Ability to drive truck back and forth between the two plants
- Complete all assigned or team duties in a timely manner
- Keep work area clean, safe and hazard free
- All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred, but not required; Class E license
Tools and Equipment:
Forklifts, motor vehicles and yard tractors. Power washer. A variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and nub drivers. Protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, etc. (tinted safety glasses are allowed outside).
