POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, documentation and implementation of electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Designs, documents and implements electrical systems for all new products.
Ensures compliance of all electrical systems (new and existing) with all USCG, ABYC, CE and other regulatory agencies.
Ensures interface between all engines, various system monitor systems and boat systems (Mercury, Yamaha, BMC, etc.).
Inspects and observes all models to evaluate the efficiency and quality of electrical systems, components, and products.
Researches and tests manufacturing and assembly processes; develops innovative processes to improve or modify current production and test methods.
Serves as primary electrical representative for all vendors, customers and teammates.
Communicates engineering information across teams and departments (New Product Development, Materials, Warehouse, Wiring Production, Deck Assembly, Engine Rigging, etc.) to facilitate successful completion of all projects.
Troubleshoots systems to solve problems with product design, manufacturing, dealers and customers.
Provides detailed BOMs for all electrical assemblies and component parts.
Trains and supervises technicians to assist in project implementation.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors in Engineering
Experience: 3-5 years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Previous work experience in electrical engineering or related position (marine experienced preferred)
Proficient in the use of Solid Works, Rhino or other computer-aided design software applications
Ability to write clearly about highly technical subject matter for communication with all education levels
Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with a desire for excellence
Ability to directly manage multiple projects simultaneously
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular computer work, and sitting
Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor
