Summary of Position:
As a Facilities Controls Technician, you'll be a member of the Product Development & Engineering’s (PD&E) facilities support team responsible for supporting the Building Automation Systems - BAS (Ignition software with a A-B PLC distributed network). We're looking for someone with strong understanding of process controls and building automation systems. As well as a strong electro-mechanical skill set and familiarity with programming Allen-Bradly PLC’s.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup and support of PD&E’s mechanical control system which includes:
Closed loop cooling systems
Test cell temperature and humidity control
Hot and chilled water supply system
Exhaust treatment systems
PLC trouble shooting and programming using Allen Bradly RSLogix
SCADA/HMI programming (Honeywell Tridium and Ignition software)
Work with other engineers and technicians in development of component level test fixtures. This includes conceptual mechanical design, software design, budgeting and project management.
Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Provide a customer centric focus.
Perform duties & responsibilities per Mercury Marine’s Safety & Regulatory standards
Basic Qualifications:
Associates Degree or higher in controls related field or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with PLC programming, graphical interface programming (Allen Bradley MicroLogix PLCs or similar).
Strong industrial network communication skills (CAN bus, Profibus, Serial and Ethernet communications).
Able to multi-task and flexible to ever changing priorities and environments.
Selfless, can-do attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting HVAC systems.
Understands theory of instrumentation measurement.
Strong technical writing skills a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle or similar database applications.
Familiarity with Ignition SCADA software a plus.
