L.L.Bean is currently searching for an Experiential Marketing Planner to join the Marketing team located in Freeport, Maine.
Position Purpose: Partners with leadership to manage the implementation of L.L.Bean’s annual Experiential Marketing programs. Leads the implementation planning, tactical execution, analysis, budget management and reporting for all experiential programs. Leads any other operational and logistics functions involved with event/experience planning.
Responsibilities:
· Experiential program planning and execution
· Develops key timelines and project plans
· Partners with ODP, Merchandising, Community Relations & Partnerships for experiential integration
· Acts as vendor and agency liaison for program initiatives
· Provides tactical event support for Freeport and all Regional stores
· Develops event activity schedules in collaboration with key business partners
· Participates in the development of stakeholder communication
· Cultivates relationships with retail stores and mall marketing teams as needed
· Assists with experiential budget development and routine management, including invoicing contract management, and reconciliation.
· Develops experiential marketing tools as needed
· Delivers weekly business recaps, program recaps and year end results and analysis
· May assume the role of technical lead in broad, complex, and/or high impact projects or initiatives
· Season travel required
· May supervise assigned personnel; to include:
Make/Review employment decisions
Maintains staff schedule in alignment with budget
Establish performance objectives, assign work, monitor workload, and appraise performance
Coach and develop employees in job related skills through work assignment, direct training, and regular feedback
Administer wages
Resolve personnel problems by following company policies and procedures
Provide guidance and support to employees in identifying personal development and career goals
Communicate, monitor and utilize adherence to company policies, programs and procedures when developing employees.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required
Education Level: 4-Year Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Industry Experience
Years of Experience: 3+ years
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experiential / Event / Retail Marketing/Operational experience
· Excellent communications skills
· Experience effectively prioritizing and managing high volume/overlapping projects and deadlines through to successful outcomes
· Commensurate combination of post-secondary training and direct experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
· Demonstrated time management skills
· Acutely detail-oriented with precise follow through
· Ability to collect, organize, visualize, present and assimilate data.
· Budget development, management and reconciliation experience
· Strong verbal and communication techniques with emphasis on conflict resolution, relationship management, and interpersonal skills
· Strong computer skills, including Powerpoint and Excel
· Solid understanding of and the ability to articulate L.L.Bean’s history and brand
· Demonstrated competency in social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat)
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, constantly changing environment
