Description:

 Works with the manufacturing team to support technical items such as Quality, Manufacturing, Maintenance and will be using a forklift to load and unload materials from truck daily.

Essential Functions:

• Work with area supervisors, leads, and facilitators to identify quality issues that need further review
• Maintains log of work orders, Preventative Maintenance on equipment and trouble shooting.
• Partners with purchasing clerk to ensure the timely delivery of parts and equipment
• Managing the site's spare parts inventory, including weekly monitoring of inventory
• Learn and understand the A3 improvement process
• Maintains daily communication with supply and customer departments
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
• Use of Forklift to load and unload materials from truck.
• Maintenance of glue guns and hose, air compressors and lines, furnace filters and other preventative maintenance as required.
• PPE inventory and ordering.
• Location maintenance.
• Minor repairs throughout the plant.
• Assisting leads with shop floor.
• Other tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and Ability to utilize basic measuring tools, hand tools to perform inspections and scheduled maintenance
• Experience in an industrial environment preferred
• Electrical/ Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (MPulse preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to challenge team members/peers appropriately to follow standards.
• Exhibits a willingness to help others, eagerness to learn.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish.

Desired Skills:

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of measurement processes’
• Forklift certified preferred

Work Environment:

Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 70 lbs, traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting, and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the workday. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes, and odors daily.  Pushing and pulling material carts.  Physical exertion is required. Also, 30% of the time will be required working outdoors loading and unloading materials from truck.
