CamelBak is looking for a mid-level copywriter with 3+ years of experience to join the Brand Marketing Creative team. Your words will inform, educate, and engage target audiences. This role will involve a combination of support across product, campaign, and digital marketing and has a heavy expertise in digital. This copywriter role will partner closely with brand, product and ecommerce marketing and will be responsible for ideating and bringing to life new ideas, campaign concepts and product launches for the CamelBak brand.
Responsible for development of all aspects of online & offline copy needs on large- and small-scale projects across the full marketing funnel, inclusive of but not limited to campaign concepts, product descriptions, sell-in collateral, social media, email, display ads, search, product packaging, channel-specific digital marketing, etc.
Develop distinctive, clear, breakthrough and on-brand copy that meets business and marketing objectives from beginning to end, while working collaboratively with designers, producers and other Ecommerce and Brand Marketing team members
Generate compelling and persuasive concepts and bring them to life through the craft of copywriting
Conduct SEO research for high-performing keywords that align with the website or piece of content’s goals
Write informative product copy for the website that educates/informs users researching product features and benefits online.
Develop and write UX copy for the website, Custom and Warranty tools
Proofread, edit, and optimize copy for all digital & offline assets
Write benefit-driven copy for landing pages that will generate leads and conversions
Write engaging and optimized merchandising copy for website campaigns.
Develop creative and captivating copy for digital media ads, such as Facebook, Search and Display Ads
Develop creative and captivating copy for Amazon and other retail partner product page content and Amazon Search and Display Advertising
Develop email marketing copy that get opened, read and converts/engages
Generate Social Media content that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement/action
Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience as a copywriter or related role, preferably within the Outdoor space
A creative thinker with big ideas
Possesses a strong understanding of creative strategies and briefs, with a demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions that meet defined objectives
Can take an idea or concept and give it substance, direction, and content while being attentive to project goals and user needs
Highly proficient in selling ideas and partnering cross-functionally to develop and present compelling strategic presentations
Collaborates closely with creative designers and external agency partners to create compelling written and designed work
Has a passion for storytelling and a creative vision for every project you work on
Expert at adapting their writing talent to meet brand guidelines/needs
Has digital expertise with a strong knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and integrating keyword strategy into copy and content
Has a strong knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media best practices
Expert in powerfully communicating key messages
Able to tailor content and writing style according to purpose across all elements of the marketing funnel – to engage, sell or inform
Attentive to the complementary relationship between visual elements and content
Proficient in copyediting

Organized and can manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, skillful with time management
