The HR Business Partner, Fiber Energy is the first level HR resource for the Fiber Energy business.  This role will work closely with the Fiber Energy President and the leadership team, while having a day-to-day focus on the entire Fiber Energy team. The HRBP must be a strong business partner for the president and experienced in identifying issues and risks, developing solutions, and working with the HR Director to manage the relationship with other HR functions, including HRIS, Compensation, and Benefits in seeking integrated solutions.  The HRBP should have excellent communication and personal skills that allows them to be effective with the entire Fiber Energy team. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its long-term strategy and midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works closely with management and employees to drive business results through improved work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
• Collaborates with HR Director
• Recruits excellent talent for positions at Fiber Energy, including interview scheduling and travel arrangements, internal and external posting creation and ad submission.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.).
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR Shared Services and HR Information Services to develop solutions and programs.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
• Leads the performance review and goal setting processes.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Identifies training needs for business units and individual management coaching needs.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Enters data changes into Workday.
• Schedules and conducts new hire orientations, onboarding timeline, and employee off boarding tasks.
• Coordinates and executes all employee events, programs & perks for Camp Chef employees.
• Helps ensures OSHA & Safety compliance and processes Workers’ Comp claims.
• Provides support in processing ergonomic requests.
• Special HR projects as assigned that may span across Vista Outdoor.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Weekly travel between 2 plants (Mountain View Arkansas and Seymour, Missouri)
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; HRIS and Talent Acquisition systems (particularly Workday) experience a plus
• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
• Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Acute attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as member of a team
• Ability to make timely and sound decisions
