POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Asset Coordinator will join a talented, experienced, and functionally diverse team which delivers a digital & print strategy in support of Bass Pro Shops and its subsidiaries. This person will work within the Photography Department under the direction of the Digital Asset & Imaging Manager. The Digital Asset Coordinator is responsible for facilitating image ingestion, organization, & delivery via our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Organize, rename, tag, and upload assets into DAM system in an accurate and timely manner.
Process images from internal & external photographers, pro staff partners, and other teams.
Process images to and from editing outsourcing partners and ensure timely deliveries.
Process images into accompanying software systems and coordinate associated information.
Generate editing proofs for art directors and brand management teams.
Develop newsletters and email communications to facilitate content usage.
Adhere to file naming, metadata, taxonomy, and keywording guidelines.
Coordinate with various teams to verify policies related to image rights, licensing, & usage.
Organize photoshoot product information and accurately tag images with product keywords.
Enhance DAM searchability through keywording, tagging, & metadata updates.
Maintain knowledge of DAM metadata structures and make edits as necessary.
Maintain knowledge of user access and permissions.
Monitor user requests and assign access and permissions.
Monitor communications for user assistance requests.
Develop and conduct DAM training sessions for users.
Upload archived assets into the DAM with metadata & keyword additions.
Document bugs and feature improvements and communicate to technology resources.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
Preferred Degree: Photography, library sciences, information sciences, communications, or related field.
Experience: 2+ year(s) experience with enterprise-level digital asset management (DAM) systems, image processing, content management, metadata & taxonomies, or related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Experience with enterprise-level DAM systems.
Solid understanding of file formats, IPTC metadata standards, and asset organization best practices.
Knowledge of structured content standards (Metadata, Tagging).
Knowledge of a wide variety of asset types (photos, videos, logos, designs, documents).
Extremely well organized in maintaining file structures, transfers, and information.
Knowledge of Capture One, MS Word & Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, and Workfront.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing tasks.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and remain organized.
Ability to effectively problem solve.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
